Tibetan Teacher & Translator for German, Italian, English & Tibetan
Since 2014 I translate and teach Tibetan in Europe and Asia for Tibetan Lamas, Rinpoches and Khenpos from all lineages of Tibetan Buddhism as well as for doctors and in conferences. I also worked as a teacher for Tibetan language and as a translator for the 84000 translation team at Vienna University.
You can learn colloquial and classical Tibetan with me to read and understand Dharma scriptures. The classes take place online. The price for 1 hour of Tibetan class is 30 €.
Prices and conditions for consecutive and simultaneous interpreting in Dharma centers:
The prices are graded according to the number of participants.
0 - 20 participants: 50 € / h gross
20 - 40 participant: 70 € / h gross
40 + participants: 90 € / h gross
- A one time service fee of 10 € will be charged for each booking.
- A deposit of 250 € must be made within 48 hours of the interpreter's confirmation of availability.
- In the event of cancellation by the center up to 3 weeks prior to the event, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. The remainder is considered an expense allowance and will not be reimbursed.
- In the event of cancellation by the center 14 days before the event the deposit will not be refunded.
- It is up to the center to set up a donation box. It should be taken into account that all Tibetan translators are freelancers and therefore rely on the support of Dharma centers. Only a sufficient monthly income enables the interpreter to work and be available for Dharma centers on a long run.
- If the event takes place offline and the travel time amounts more than 2 hours, a flat-rate travel fee of between € 50 and € 300 applies, depending on the required travel time.
WRITTEN TRANSLATIONS
Small projects have an hourly fee of 50 € gross.
For long projects (f.i. books) we can negotiate a lump sum.
